Performance Group Information
This program is for students who love performing. Two performances per year, these students will hone their dance and performance skills on a regular basis. These levels require summer study to continue flexibility and skills so they do not stop learning and improving. Level 1 has a one week summer camp. Level 2/3/4 will have two weeks of camp.
- Level 1: 1 Ballet class and 1 other dance form: jazz, tap, hip hop, or musical theatre
- Level 2: 2 Ballet classes per week or a focus on two disciplines: jazz, tap, modern, hip hop, or musical theatre. Ballet students may take any additional dance form.
- Level 3/4: 3 Ballet classes per week or a focus on three disciplines- jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, hip hop, and musical theatre. Ballet students may take any additional dance form.
Dance/Develop
A new program for learning difference children. It's slower paced and specifically prepared for students whose sensor concerns could not be met in a regular dance class environment. Great attention is paid to music choices that are stimulating but not overwhelming and use of props for longer durations to allow time for adjustment.
Zumba
Zumba is a latin dance party with a combination of Salsa, Merengue, Regaetton, and Cumbia with a mix of world dance including Belly Dance!
Genesis Arts New Program Line Up
We have always specialized in early childhood programs, with staff trained in early childhood education and dance! Now we have qualified staff in all areas of dance training and fitness to ensure the growth of our programs, as well as pride in our dancers and their accomplishments!
Early Childhood Program
Beginning dance training for students ages 12 months to 8 years old. We specialize in age appropriate class sizes, expectations, and dance training for preschool students, as well as combination classes of dance for students 4-7 years of age.
Youth Program
Single discipline classes for students ages 6-12.. Students may study as little or as much as they would like in multiple dance forms.
Boys Program
This program recognizes that boys sometimes have different class needs than their counterparts. This class will be faster paced, with multiple repetitions to ensure proper training.
Adult Program
This program specializes in beginning levels, as well as more advanced levels for someone who has trained previously or studied in the youth program. For personal challenge or fitness, we make the classes fun while learning new skills and perfecting previous training.
Musical Theatre Program
These students will put on two productions: one fall musical, and participate as actors/singers/dancers in our spring production. Students will be immersed in a full program of theatre from prop building and lighting information, to the very necessary techniques of voice, dance, and character building!
